My love of plants

I've never been fond of plants. My thumb ain't that green. My love of plants began almost sixteen years ago by accident. I was diagnosed with depression and refuse to go on Prozac the therapist was trying so desperately to put me on. My interest in plants and herbs came through Spirit as I was lead to study them and their effects on the mind. Good ole Spirit. I love her. LOL I started studying the properties of plants and herbs. Like how to change my mood from negative to positive so this woman wouldn't put on me on meds that made me loopy.

I studied for years with excellent results but felt something was missing. I met a guy at work who said he studied plants and herbs as well. I was like OMG.. will you marry me? He said he studied them for medicinal purposes. MEDICINAL huh?? Like weed for my cataract? LOL O_o Not that I am familiar with such but one does hear rumors. After he stopped laughing he explained that plants and herbs can assist the body in healing. Oh MY... tell me more!! I was intrigued. I asked him did he know about the spiritual properties of the plants and herbs that he studied and he said no. My eyebrow raised and I proposed (not that proposal) that he and I worked together. He and I didn't get that chance but our chance encounter paved the way for my future.

I found several schools and programs that offered herbal studies. I took everything I could afford and get my hands on. I became a Master Herbalist. Herbalism became my life. What once was filled with Midol, Dimetapp, and Benedryl, my medicine cabinet was now stocked with Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree oil to name a few. As a master herbalist, I am able to combine several herbs and plants together using a variety of methods to create the most powerful remedies  that you can imagine.

So the next time you pass by some herbs, show some respect to the herb and plant world. You never know... that herb or plant may be used to heal something that ails you.  As always, stop by my website at www.nu-bodi.com.

See you tomorrow!
